Resize an Image for a Visa Photo
Free, with no daily limit. Fit a photo inside a common visa or ID size: 35 by 45 millimetres, a 2 by 2 inch square, or 33 by 48 millimetres. The buttons are those sizes at 300 dpi. This does not crop a face, and it does not promise an embassy will accept the file.

Drop images or a folder
Or paste a picture. The file is not uploaded. On an iPhone, Choose photos may hand you a JPEG instead of the original HEIC. This page accepts that too.
Used for JPG and WebP. PNG does not use this slider. 85 is the starting point.
Each file is fitted on its own. JPG and WebP try a lower quality first. PNG is made smaller, because it has no quality step.

How to convert
-
1. Pick the size the form named
35×45 mm is 413 by 531 pixels. 2×2 in is 600 by 600, the same box as a US passport photo. 33×48 mm is 390 by 567. The picture is scaled to fit inside that box. It is not cropped.
-
2. Use JPG unless the form asks for PNG
JPG starts selected at quality 90. HEIC from an iPhone is accepted and saved as JPG. If the form also caps the file at 20 KB, 50 KB, or 200 KB, turn on Fit under a file size or use those pages after this one.
-
3. Check the face yourself
The download is a smaller photo, not a checked visa photo. Background color, head size, glasses, and the exact crop are your job. A government site is the authority, not this page.
Questions
Will this pass a visa photo check?
Not by itself. The page only changes pixel dimensions. It does not find a face, cut a square around the head, or replace the background. Many applications reject a photo for those reasons even when the pixel size is right.
Which button is the US size?
2×2 in. That is 600 by 600 pixels, two inches at 300 dpi. The passport page does only that size. This page keeps it next to the millimetre sizes used elsewhere.
What if the form wants kilobytes, not just pixels?
A 35 by 45 millimetre JPG at quality 90 is often under 200 KB and sometimes not under 50 KB. Use Compress a JPG to 50 KB or to 20 KB when the form names those caps.
Is the portrait uploaded?
No. It is resized in this browser. Do not use a random upload site for a passport or visa portrait.
